Telebox

Hailing from the West of Ireland, Telebox are an electrifyingly energetic indie rock four piece. Telebox formed while all four members were still at school and they have since been regularly playing live, whilst independently recording and releasing their music. They released their debut EP ‘What is the Point?’ last summer and toured it around Ireland. On that tour and since then, they have played well-known Irish venues such as Whelan’s, Dolan’s, Cyprus Avenue, The Spirit Store and Róisín Dubh.
Since they began as a band they’ve played over 60 shows and amassed over 50k streams on Spotify. They are Winners of Galway Battle of the Bands, and more recently UCC/UL Battle of the Bands. Telebox honed their live and recorded sound through regular after school rehearsals, and by sharing bills with the likes of New Dad, Fat Dog, The Murder Capital and Kynsy. With musical influences ranging from Fontaines D.C. and Wunderhorse to The Stone Roses and The Strokes, their guitar-driven songs are backed by a tight-knit rhythm section which creates their electrifyingly hypnotic sound.
Telebox are planning to keep up the momentum with the
upcoming release of their second EP ‘When Night Turns Into Day’. A collaborative effort from the lads has resulted in a much richer, mature sound, once again recording and releasing independently, with the help of producer Micheal O’Dowd of Lakeland studios. The darker soundscape and variety of themes means one and all can enjoy this new EP. Following the release of ‘When Night Turns Into Day’, once again Telebox will be hitting the road to play shows across Ireland and the UK.
‘This is Galway’ magazine wrote of their exuberant live
performances; “The vibrancy they exude shouldn’t be confused with naivety – their grasp on the world is real, and their message is indisputable. Their sound is curiously addictive.’’
